Our customer came to us with this wonderful pet portrait produced by Turner & Walker (https://www.turnerandwalker.co.uk/). The painting was produced in the style of an old master portrait and needed something ornate and of that era.
Our customer chose a hand made, traditional swept frame which really gives authenticity to this antique styled picture.
The swept frame is named simply for the sweeps between each corner. You will notice too that there are no visible join marks across the corners.
Often called a Rococo frame and originated in the Late Baroque period in Britain, also often called a Louis XV style frame.
