We have just framed this stunning print of a tiger (“Arrowhead”) by wildlife painter Sophie Green.
A bare wood oak frame was selected, which is a consistent light brown with compact darker brown grains. Oak bare woods can be very hard, sturdy and are usually quite strong in quality. They are usually best finished with neutral or coloured, waxes, or even stained. The colours in the frame match well with the tiger’s fur.
A double window mount was chosen with a solid core black mountboard as the outer mount and a topaz mount board as the inner mount which gives it a border of 5mm all around.
This framing compliments the wonderful artwork making it seem like the Tiger is about to pop out of the frame.
