We framed this Pure Evil print “Screaming Marilyn” (2016), Three colour screen print with a simple white mount. The frame colour matches Marilyn’s lips.

In keeping the frame and the mount simple, we are echoing the simplicity of the screen print. The frame colour also echoes the print, but also brings out the bright colour at the same time as binding the frame and the print so as they are one. Two parts of the single piece of artwork.

The screen print is by Charles Uzzell-Edwards. He is a London based graffiti artist known by the moniker “Pure Evil”. He is the son of Welsh painter John Uzzell Edwards.
