Framing an old triptych on board painting with a contemporaary frame.

Our customer had inherited an old Polish triptych painting from her ancestors, she had no idea how old it was, but remembers it from her earliest memories. Unfortunately, although she loved the painting,  she was not keen on the old frame.  It was important to keep the antique look of the painting, but wanted something she could live with. She decided to utilise a more contemporary frame with the three images float mounted to a smokey grey dappled suedette mount.

We think that she chose well and the result is contemporary with a nod to the past, setting the triptych off very nicely.
