We had to resist the urge to produce an elaborate and noticeable frame to let the guitar be the star. We had to keep to simple and effective, strong and yet not overpowering.
As the painted guitar was bright and colourful, so a simple black frame with black mount card to the face (as a shadow mount) and behind the guitar was all that was needed to set it off perfectly.
We needed to make an extra deep box and use some very secure fittings, cleverly hidden for the most part.
