Ammonites are so rewarding to frame as you can pick put some of the wonderful array of colours with the frame, mount card or with slips and fillets.

Here, the richness of the fossil’s colours, which include gold, are echoed within the frame and the stronger colours in the extra layers of mount card. The fossils are set back with a deep neutral fillet set inside the inner mount card.

The result is a beautiful, timeless piece of artwork.
