As discussed in an earlier post, one of the artists that we frame for, John Govett, paints all of his paintings on set sizes of board.
We make batches of frames for him in these set sizes, which he stores until needed.
When he is invited to exhibit, he selects some of his paintings and very quickly can pop the paintings into the frames and pop along to the gallery concerned.
If a customer buying the painting does not want the frame for any reason, then he takes it back and keeps it for another time.
The frames suit his artwork very well, so it is not often that this happens, but he knows the frame will not go to waste.
These paintings were for a recent exhibition at the Chelsea Art Society.
