We have recently framed this wonderful woodpecker needlepoint by designer Beth Russell.
It is modern adaptation of William Morris’s original woodpecker tapestry from 1865. Beth’s other designs are based upon William Morris and the Arts & Crafts Movement works work.
When it came in to us, it was badly skewed as the stitching had pulled it out of shape, but we used our trusty “Easy-Stretch” contraption to gently pull it square before we framed it.
A traditional style gold frame was chosen to complement the traditional style image. Our customer also chose to have Art Glass to help preserve the piece and have minimal reflections.
