These little model buddhas were collected over a number of trips to Hong Kong and China. They were rescued from the bottom of a box of old junk and given a new life as an intriguing piece of artwork with an interesting story attached.
We actually made two frames, one was made in reverse and sits inside the other to give a display “shelf” for the models to sit on, and we needed to make a deep box for the back. We used a hessian backing and a very complimentary frame. They look fantastic in the flesh.
