Animals in Uniform

We have just framed these two fun prints on canvas depicting animals in uniform – a seagull and a zebra.

The canvases were stretched over deep stretcher bars and then the stretched canvases were framed in deep silver “tray” frames (also called “L” frames or “Float” frames), where the the canvases sit in a tray made from the moulding, and then there is a gap (usually between 5mm and 10mm) between the edge of the canvas and the inner sides of the tray. This is different to traditional frames, which have a lip around the inner edge which overlaps the artwork or canvas.
